Job summary

Joseph Leckie Academy in Walsall is seeking an exceptional Business Manager to lead finance, HR, estates and operations, ensuring a safe, efficient and well‑managed environment across the academy.

You will work closely with the Principal, Governors and senior leaders to deliver robust financial management, value for money, governance reporting and strategic development in a diverse, inclusive school serving its community.

Qualifications

• Significant management experience across finance, HR, estates or operations.
• Strong strategic thinking and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams while managing complex operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of finance, HR, estates, administration, ICT and compliance functions.
• Ensuring robust financial management and value for money across all operations.
• Overseeing health & safety and regulatory compliance.
• Managing the academy site to ensure a safe, secure and inspiring environment.
• Supporting the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and Governors with strategic reporting and decision-making.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, families and the wider community.
