Job summary

Teachers UK in Gainsborough is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join the senior leadership team and oversee the school's operational and financial management, including finance, HR, administration and compliance.

The role is full-time and site-based, offering CPD access and leadership development opportunities, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective governance to support the school’s wider development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a School Business Manager or senior school operations role.
• Strong experience in financial management and budget planning.
• Knowledge of school operations, HR processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and governance standards.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting.
• Manage HR processes, including staffing and recruitment support.
• Lead on operational processes across the school.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team.
• Manage and support administrative and support staff.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the school.
