Job summary

Outwood Academy Redcar in Redcar, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Principal to lead with strategic direction and to promote high standards of achievement for every child. The role requires QTS, transformational leadership, and a proven track record in delivering excellent educational outcomes.

The successful candidate will work with Trust policies, develop a modern curriculum, and champion inclusion while building strong relationships with staff, students, and the local community.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Ability to deliver transformational and cultural change.
• Clear understanding of what makes an outstanding school.
• Deep knowledge of educational legislation and innovation.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for delegated management and operational activity of the academy.
• Provide enthusiastic, innovative and consistent leadership to the academy and its leadership team.
• Work with the community to achieve the best outcomes for all students, especially the vulnerable.
• Implement Trust policies with rigor and sustainability to improve outcomes.
• Ensure students are healthy, safe, and reach their maximum potential.
• Develop the academy's reputation locally, regionally and nationally.
• Act as ex-officio member of the Academy Council.
• Develop and implement a modern curriculum aligned to learning and assessment.
