Job summary

East Midlands Academy Trust is seeking a School Impact Partner – Secondary to drive rapid and sustained improvement across its secondary schools. You will lead strategic direction while coaching senior leaders and improving classroom practice to raise attainment.

The role blends field-based leadership with hands-on school improvement across KS3–KS5, focusing on teaching quality, curriculum implementation, and student outcomes within a supportive, inclusive Trust.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong leadership experience in secondary settings.
  • Proven success in improving school performance and student outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of KS3–KS5 curriculum design and subject pedagogy.
  • Excellent data analysis and improvement planning skills.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high expectations.
  • NPQSL, NPQH, or equivalent leadership qualification.
  • Experience across multiple schools or within a Multi Academy Trust.
  • Experience supporting inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of Arbor or similar school systems.

Responsibilities

  • Drive rapid and sustained improvement across secondary schools within the Trust.
  • Support and challenge school leaders to improve teaching and learning, curriculum, leadership capacity and outcomes.
  • Coach Headteachers, senior and middle leaders to implement best practice across KS3–KS5.
  • Use data to identify priorities and measure impact and progress.
