Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an SAP Materials Planner to drive production and materials planning efficiencies within a global manufacturing engineering context. The role focuses on SAP MRP, PP and MM modules, ensuring accurate master data and optimal material availability to meet production demands.

The role links demand, supply, customer service and production, driving inventory optimisation and collaborative planning with procurement and production teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production Planning, Materials Planning or Inventory Planning.
• Deep expertise in SAP MRP, especially PP and MM modules.
• Strong understanding of SAP reporting tools and transactions.
• Experience in managing master data (material/vendor BOMs routing).
• Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain SAP MRP process.
• Ensure all material master records BOMs and work centre data are accurate.
• Analyse SAP-generated demand and supply proposals and adjust plans to production schedules and lead times.
• Collaborate with procurement to convert planned orders into purchase orders.
• Collaborate with production teams to align material availability with production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels in SAP identifying shortages or excesses.
• Optimise planning parameters (lot sizes, safety stock, reorder points) in SAP MRP.
• Support continuous improvement activities around production and materials planning, MRP and master data governance.
