Job summary

GEA is seeking an experienced MRP & Inventory Planner to drive SAP-based materials planning in our Eastleigh, UK operations. You will own the MRP process, maintain master data, and balance demand with supply to meet production schedules.

You will collaborate with procurement and production teams to prevent shortages and reduce waste, using MD04/MB52/ME2N and other SAP tools. Lean mindset and strong analytics are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MRP and inventory planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced SAP skills - hands-on experience with SAP MM and PP modules is essential.
• Strong understanding of SAP transactions for MRP (MD01, MD02, MD04), inventory analysis, and purchase order tracking.
• Solid knowledge of Master Data Management - including material master, vendor master, BOMs, and routing data.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret SAP data and make informed decisions.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively across procurement, production, and supply chain teams.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the SAP MRP process - from master data accuracy to running MRP simulations and executing planning runs.
• Ensure all material master records, BOMs, and work centre data are accurate, complete, and up to date in SAP.
• Analyse SAP-generated demand and supply proposals, adjusting plans to align with production schedules and lead times.
• Monitor inventory levels in SAP daily, identifying risks of shortages or overstock and taking proactive action.
• Collaborate with procurement to convert planned orders into purchase orders and track supplier confirmations in SAP.
• Work closely with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
• Use SAP reporting tools (e.g., MD04, MB52, ME2N) to generate actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Optimise SAP parameters (lot sizes, safety stock, reorder points) to improve planning accuracy and reduce waste.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including data governance and master data quality projects.
