Job summary

Aureos are seeking a Risk & Opportunity Manager in the United Kingdom to lead the risk and opportunity management across major projects. You will own the Risk & Opportunity Register, quantify risks, and drive mitigations with ownership and timelines.

You will run regular reviews with project, commercial, planning and delivery teams, perform quantitative risk analyses, and ensure risk exposure is reflected in forecasts and EAC.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management on major projects or complex programmes.
• Strong understanding of cost forecasting, contingency management and project controls.
• Knowledge of quantitative risk techniques and risk modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the project Risk & Opportunity Register and actively manage risks.
• Lead risk/opportunity reviews with project, commercial, planning and delivery teams.
• Quantify cost and programme impact of risks using probabilistic methods.
• Develop clear mitigation actions with owners and deadlines.
• Provide risk information into monthly reporting, forecasting and governance meetings.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, schedule acceleration and margin uplift.
• Review subcontractor and supply-chain risks, including cost escalation and lead times.
