Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead risk and opportunity management on major engineering projects based in Glasgow under a contract arrangement.

You will develop and maintain risk registers, run risk workshops, and provide analysis, conclusions and recommendations to project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional body desirable.
• APM qualification preferred, with Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status advantageous.
• Experience in risk and opportunity management within a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project risk registers across multiple projects.
• Lead risk and opportunity management throughout end-to-end project delivery phases.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops and risk assessment activities.
• Support planning and implementation of risk treatment strategies.
• Produce risk performance reports with analysis, recommendations and insights.
• Monitor and control schedule and cost contingencies.
