Job summary

Beazley is seeking a Risk Manager to support its enterprise risk management framework through independent oversight, risk assessment and reporting. You will engage with risk owners and senior stakeholders to challenge risk assessments, oversee RCSA activities and contribute to the enhancement of risk systems and governance processes.

The role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel and Power BI skills, and a collaborative, improvement-focused mindset across the risk function.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, internal controls or related disciplines within financial services.
• Experience facilitating risk and control assessments and providing constructive challenge to business stakeholders.
• Experience preparing risk reports and management information for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver risk reporting, MI, committee papers and action tracking for risk governance processes.
• Support the development and embedding of Beazley’s Risk Appetite Statement and metrics.
• Engage with risk owners and senior stakeholders to provide independent challenge and oversight.
• Lead periodic risk and control assessments (RCSA) and oversee action management and reporting.
• Provide second line analysis of control environment, including design adequacy and remediation oversight with CCAT.
• Support risk acceptance and escalation processes for risks outside appetite.
• Analyse risk data to identify trends and support risk-based decision making.
• Maintain risk data integrity within the GRC platform and enhance risk systems and MI.
• Lead identification and monitoring of emerging risks and support ORSA processes where required.
• Support second line risk opinions on strategic initiatives and change programmes.
• Promote risk culture through stakeholder engagement and training.
• Contribute to governance arrangements and continuous improvement of ERM processes.
• Participate in project work and strategic initiatives.
