Risk & Compliance Solicitor (5+ PQE) – Edinburgh or Glasgow

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys translating regulation into practical guidance and shaping firmwide compliance standards.

What you’ll do:

• Advise on professional practice, conduct, conflicts, confidentiality & regulatory obligations.
• Develop clear guidance, templates & tools to support compliance across the firm.
• Support supervision standards, file reviews & quality assurance.
• Lead aspects of regulatory reporting & inspection readiness.
• Deliver training and help refine compliance processes.
• Contribute to the firm’s client‑facing risk & compliance services, including audits, diagnostics & advisory work.

About you:

• Qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE.
• Strong background in legal regulation, ethics, risk or compliance.
• Excellent ability to turn complex rules into practical advice.
• Confident engaging with partners, operational teams and clients.
• Commercially aware with experience supporting BD activity.
