Job summary

Monmouthshire Building Society is seeking a Release Manager to lead governance and cross-team coordination across Release, IT, Operations, Testing, Architecture and suppliers. The role focuses on planning, testing, risk assessment and successful deployment of each release.

The position offers a high impact, leadership-driven environment without direct line management, and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, tooling, and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Experience in release management across multi-system environments.
• Experience coordinating releases with internal teams and third parties.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, testing and change management.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly during incident and release pressure.
• ITIL certification or CAB/governance forum experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and own our Release Management Framework.
• Coordinate route to live lifecycle—planning, scheduling, testing, approvals, deployment, post-implementation review.
• Maintain the Forward Schedule of Change with visibility of upcoming releases.
• Assure business, technical and operational readiness for every deployment.
• Lead cross-team and vendor coordination for smooth release cycles.
• Manage risks, issues and go/no-go decisions with evidence-based justification.
