Job summary

Octopus is seeking a Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of loans across Octopus Capital’s lending activities. You will monitor facility performance, maintain accurate portfolio information, manage borrower interactions and support exits, amendments and issue resolution.

You’ll work with teams across lending, execution, legal, credit and servicing, taking ownership of your portfolio, identifying risks, assessing credit data, and assisting senior colleagues on underperforming loans while

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate lending or development finance.
• Experience managing loan portfolios and monitoring performance.
• Ability to interpret credit information and risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day requirements of a loan portfolio from completion through repayment.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of each facility, including structure and covenants.
• Identify credit, construction, legal, and market risks with clear recommendations.
• Support senior colleagues on higher-risk loans, including data gathering and action tracking.
• Escalate material risks to senior management and committees.
• Coordinate borrower reporting and ensure records are up to date.
