Avison Young is recruiting for a planning professional in the UK to support planning appraisals, policy representations and planning applications from our Birmingham area offices.

You will join a collaborative team, assisting with client reporting, research and planning submissions while developing expertise in development management and local planning policy. Some roles may be remote or office-based within the UK.

Qualifikationen

• Honours degree in Town Planning (desirable)
• RTPI-accredited planning degree (desirable)
• RTPI chartered membership (desirable)
• More than 2 years of planning experience (desirable)
• Understanding of development management process
• Understanding of planning policy, Local Plans and related documents
• Demonstrable evidence of good report writing and research skills
• Evidence of good project management and time management

Aufgaben

• Undertake planning appraisals and advise clients on consent likelihood and strategy.
• Carry out research and analytical tasks and produce client-facing reports.
• Support project teams (architects and consultants) and manage tasks.
• Prepare planning applications and Planning Statements or S106/Statements of Community Involvement.
• Prepare representations to local plan consultations and assist with appeals.
• Contribute to proofs of evidence for expert witnesses at inquiries.
• Meet targets for fee earning from project delivery and help write tender proposals.
• Support business generation ideas and client research.
