Placements24 is seeking a specialized Procurement Specialist focused on Raw Materials to join a vital supply chain team in Randburg. You will drive strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and negotiations to ensure reliable supply for manufacturing.

The role requires strong analytical skills, market insight into raw material prices, and collaboration with production, R&D, and logistics to forecast needs and optimize inventory while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Procurement Specialist or Buyer focusing on raw materials in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of raw material markets, sourcing strategies, and supplier negotiation.
• Strong analytical skills for cost analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment.
• Experience with supply chain planning and inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Source, procure, and manage a wide range of raw materials with focus on quality and delivery.
• Develop sourcing strategies to secure pricing and favorable terms from global/local suppliers.
• Build relationships with key raw material suppliers and monitor performance.
