Job summary

First Rail London is seeking a senior Programme Manager to lead strategic change programmes across Operations on the London Overground network. You will drive governance, delivery, and benefits realisation, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are met.

Effective stakeholder engagement and clear action tracking will be essential as you support industrial relations initiatives and workforce modernisation. The role involves travel across the network and a London base.

Qualifications

• Experience in railway operations and understanding of performance drivers.
• Experience undertaking operational reviews, performance analysis or strategic assessments.
• Strong analytical, report writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to challenge existing assumptions and develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of key operational performance improvement programmes.
• Track progress against performance, resilience and efficiency objectives.
• Support development and implementation of action plans from reviews and investigations.
• Ensure cross-functional ownership of actions and delivery milestones.
• Monitor delivery of improvement initiatives and provide assurance on benefits realisation.
• Lead programme governance across major operational transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain programme plans, milestones and roadmaps.
• Plan and lead mobilisation during delivery phases.
