Job summary

Axon Moore Group Ltd seeks a Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager for a Bolton-based engineering/manufacturing business. You will own the purchasing function, lead a small team, and drive cost reductions while strengthening supplier relationships.

Expect a strategic yet hands-on role reporting to Operations Director, with responsibilities across planning, inventory, engineering, operations and finance. Excellent scope for impact and progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within procurement, purchasing or supply chain
• Experience leading and developing a team
• Strong supplier management and negotiation experience
• Proven experience delivering cost savings
• Strong commercial and financial awareness
• Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the purchasing and supply chain function and team
• Develop procurement and sourcing strategies
• Negotiate with key suppliers to improve cost, quality and delivery
• Drive supplier performance and cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure material availability to support production and customer needs
• Collaborate with Engineering and Finance on budgets and improvements
