Aspire Jobs are working with an established business in the Poole area who are now looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team. You will be part of the buying team and report to the Management team, with responsibility for a small team and regular management meetings.

The role requires buying experience in manufacturing or high-volume environments, staff management, and strong Excel/database skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing within manufacturing or high-volume environments.
• Leadership experience managing a small team.
• Able to work to time-critical deadlines.
• Strong forecasting and material planning abilities.
• Advanced Excel and database proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Report on planning, estimating, expediting and forecasting.
• Identify trends within the business to inform purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate prices and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with internal colleagues to ensure on-time delivery of products.
• Understand supplier capabilities and capacities.
