Job summary

Office Angels in Wimbledon is seeking a Purchasing Manager to steer procurement for a growing consumer goods business. You will lead supplier negotiations, manage inventories, and collaborate with product development on launches from the Wimbledon base.

The role requires strong leadership, advanced Excel and ERP experience (NetSuite is a plus). You will drive supplier performance, cost controls, and cross-functional partnerships while mentoring a purchasing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchasing Manager or similar role.
• Proven supplier management and negotiation experience.
• Experience in consumer goods/retail/FMCG advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
• Experience with ERP/purchasing systems (NetSuite beneficial).
• Commercially astute with negotiation and problem-solving.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing and procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
• Build, manage, and develop supplier relationships across domestic and international markets.
• Oversee inventory planning to ensure stock availability while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Manage purchasing budgets and support cost-saving initiatives.
• Work closely with product development teams to support new product launches and ongoing product innovation.
• Ensure import/export compliance and maintain supplier documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, pricing, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with finance, logistics, and commercial teams to support business growth.
• Produce purchasing reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the purchasing team.
