Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Procurement Business Partner in Liverpool to manage procurement for the Public Sector, turning needs into clear purchasing plans and leading from requirement through contract award.

You will collaborate across Procurement & Supply Chain, provide practical advice, and ensure procurement records are well maintained, supporting value for money and effective decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing end-to-end procurement activity.
• Ability to translate service needs into procurement requirements.
• Experience in preparing tender and procurement documentation.
• Confidence in managing tender processes and evaluations.
• Ability to provide clear procurement advice to internal stakeholders.
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail in procurement records.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activity from initial requirement through to contract award.
• Prepare procurement documents with requirements, timescales and evaluation criteria clearly.
• Run tender processes and support fair, consistent evaluations to help teams select suitable suppliers.
• Provide practical procurement advice to colleagues, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
• Build effective working relationships across Procurement & Supply Chain and with service areas.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure key documents are available when needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and day-to-day purchasing easier for colleagues.
