Job summary

CGI in London is seeking a Proposal Writer for the Intelligence Mission Systems sector to shape high-quality proposals for space, defence and intelligence opportunities. You’ll own content from storyboard through submission, collaborating with bid leaders, technical experts and colleagues to give every response a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• Experience writing high-quality proposals in IT, systems integration or defence.
• Excellent written and verbal UK English communication.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into client-facing content.
• Strong collaborative skills to challenge solution owners constructively.
• Experience contributing to structured proposal reviews.
• Ability to develop non-technical responses with limited SME input.
• UK citizenship with SC clearance eligibility and ability to commute to CGI offices.

Responsibilities

• Own high-quality proposal documentation from storyboard to final client submission.
• Develop clear, persuasive content aligned with client requirements and CGI strategy.
• Collaborate with technical experts to uncover differentiators.
• Review and enhance proposals through Shipley reviews.
• Mentor proposal writers and create reusable content.
• Develop compelling case studies and reusable content.
• Shape and improve proposal processes and messaging.
