Job summary

Birmingham City University’s Business School is seeking a Strategic Projects Coordinator on a 2-year fixed term to drive key business engagement, accreditation and professional development projects from planning through evaluation.

The role includes leading administrative and financial support for PRME UK&I and coordinating with internal teams, external partners and wider networks to ensure excellent delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in a relevant discipline, or due to complete within six months.
• Understanding of project management principles and full delivery cycle.
• Strong organisational and project administration skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills to convey ideas clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and standards.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate business engagement projects from planning through evaluation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with participants, employers, academic colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Support accreditation, quality assurance and compliance activities through data analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and participant support activities.
• Manage programme logistics, event delivery and operational administration.
• Monitor budgets and financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance operations and participant experience.
• Contribute to alumni engagement and long-term stakeholder relationships.
