Job summary

BRE is seeking a Project Manager for the Electronic Testing Lab on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Watford, combining remote and office work. You will coordinate multiple engineering and testing projects, ensuring milestones, risks and dependencies are monitored, with clear reporting to senior stakeholders.

Role focuses on visibility, governance, governance reporting and continuous improvement, not hands-on testing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing projects within technical, engineering, manufacturing, product development, testing, certification or regulated environments.
• Strong project controls experience including planning, reporting, risk management, change control and governance.
• Experience producing management information, dashboards and performance reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Commercial awareness including budget monitoring and project performance tracking.
• Structured and proactive approach to identifying risks, delays and delivery challenges.
• Experience collaborating with engineers or operational teams.
• APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track projects from enquiry through to completion and customer handover.
• Maintain oversight of project plans, milestones, deliverables and dependencies.
• Produce accurate project reports, dashboards and management updates.
• Highlight delays, risks, issues and capacity constraints with timely escalation.
• Coordinate activity across engineers, laboratory technicians, commercial teams and other stakeholders.
• Support project forecasting, performance tracking and management reporting.
• Monitor project costs, changes and key commercial milestones.
• Ensure activities align with quality procedures and accreditation standards.
• Provide senior stakeholders with visibility of status and delivery performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in project reporting and governance processes.
