Job summary

TÜV SÜD Group is recruiting a Project Manager for their Fareham laboratory testing facilities, focusing on Defence, Aerospace and Rail test work. This 12‑month temporary role requires coordinating client expectations, testing schedules and budgets through the full project lifecycle.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, ensure timely sample delivery, and deliver compliant reports to support client qualification programs. Hybrid emphasis and strong customer focus are valued.

Qualifications

• Laboratorybased product testing knowledge or experience with product qualification in testing environments.
• Exceptional organisation and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to deliver, plan contingencies and improve processes.
• Understanding of customer needs and how to enhance experience.
• Understanding of profitability and key profit drivers.
• Balance between technical judgment and commercial awareness.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and bespoke business tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal intermediary between client and testing facilities from start to end of projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, protecting margins.
• Manage client expectations and provide detailed project plans.
• Coordinate within test teams to ensure timely delivery of samples and docs.
• Forecast and maintain project plans using the business PM tool.
• Oversee invoicing accuracy and timely payments.
