Job summary

Recruit Mint Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electronic Test Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will test, diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment used in traffic communication products, applying RF knowledge and IPC standards.

You will calibrate, document repairs, update ERP records and support production to keep costs within target, while ensuring safety and calibration requirements are met.

Qualifications

• A BTEC National Certificate/Diploma or HNC.
• Interest in electro-mechanical componentry and products.
• Thorough knowledge of analogue and digital RF principles.
• Experience fault finding on electronic units in manufacturing using test equipment and diagrams.
• Repair and rework hand soldering experience.
• The ability to use own initiative.
• Good communication skills.
• Confident to ask questions.
• Quick learner.
• Enjoy hands on and practical work.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment with test gear.
• Test PCBA down to component level per IPC level 2/3.
• Safety test customer and production equipment.
• Produce test and repair documentation for customers.
• Record fault data and costs in IT systems and ERP.
• Monitor costs to keep repairs within targets and flag overruns.
• Implement changes to upgrade equipment as required.
• Identify repeat failures and report trends to engineers.
• Provide training and support to production staff.
