Job summary

Penguin Random House seeks a Senior Finance Manager in Frating, Essex, to oversee financial management for a portfolio of distribution projects. You will partner with programme leads, produce executive cost reports and support budgeting, forecasting and capital reporting to the US.

Essential candidates are qualified accountants with post-qualification experience in commercial or project accounting, skilled in SAP, Anaplan and Excel, with a track record of stakeholder engagement and

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in a commercial finance or project accounting role.
Experience analysing and modelling complex commercial scenarios.
Experience communicating and operating with senior/board level stakeholders.
Experience working as part of a project team on high profile projects.
Experience using SAP and Anaplan; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Ownership of tracking and control of project costs across phases.
Produce regular executive reports costs vs plan for Steer Co and leadership.
Financial planning for budgets/forecasts through programme life cycle.
Ensure financial arrangements with new suppliers are in place.
Adhere to group policies for supplier appointments and contracts.
Maintain a financial risk and opportunities log for the project.
Provide cash flow projections for projects, including CAPEX reporting to the US.
Support creation of new business cases for Distribution projects.
Plan and undertake post-project financial reviews for benefits delivery.
Participate as Distribution Finance representative on applicable programmes.
