Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search is supporting a leading international organisation in appointing a Project Controls Director. Hybrid with European travel, the role oversees Planning and Cost Control across Europe, driving consistency and strong governance.

The successful candidate will influence senior stakeholders, develop high-performing teams and create a commercially focused Project Controls function across major EPC and energy infrastructure programmes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior Project Controls leadership within major EPC, energy or infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects or locations.
• Strong understanding of planning, cost control, forecasting, governance and project performance reporting.
• Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders and influencing decisions across functions.
• Demonstrated capability to drive organisational change and improve Project Controls capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across multidisciplinary Project Controls teams, covering Planning and Cost Control.
• Lead, develop and mentor Project Controls professionals across multiple locations.
• Drive consistency in project planning, cost management, forecasting, reporting and governance.
• Oversee Project Controls performance across major EPC and energy infrastructure programmes.
• Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Commercial, Finance and Tendering teams to strengthen project delivery.
• Support mobilisation through development of effective Project Controls strategies.
• Influence senior stakeholders and drive accountability across complex environments.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and greater operational efficiency.
• Establish Project Controls as a strategic partner to the wider business.
