Job summary

Sunseeker International in Poole seeks an experienced Operations Scheduling Lead to translate business demand into achievable production plans. You will influence multiple departments to keep schedules realistic, integrated and aligned with business objectives.

You will turn large planning datasets into practical recommendations, collaborate with Production, Supply Chain and leadership teams, and drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes and governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in production planning or master scheduling within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production flow, capacity planning, resource management and schedule governance.
• Proven experience translating demand into practical operational plans.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate impacts and trade-offs.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across multiple functions and levels.
• Advanced experience using planning systems, ERP/MRP solutions and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and changing demands.
• Proactive, resilient and collaborative approach with focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining integrated production schedules aligned to business priorities and customer commitments.
• Leading scheduling activities and providing expert guidance on sequencing, prioritisation and schedule changes.
• Monitoring capacity across labour, facilities, equipment and critical resources to identify constraints and potential risks.
• Providing visibility of schedule performance, delivery confidence and operational risks.
• Supporting tactical and strategic decision-making through scenario planning and operational analysis.
• Translating complex planning data into clear recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the wider production programme.
• Representing Production Planning in business forums and contributing to decision‑making discussions.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes, planning capability and operational effectiveness.
• Encouraging data-driven decision-making and best‑practice planning methodologies across the business.
