Job summary

Azenta LTD is seeking a Production Scheduler in the UK to manage end‑to‑end planning for plastic injection moulding and related processes. You will work with demand planning, maintain capacity schedules, and coordinate with maintenance and warehouse teams to ensure on‑time production.

The role requires 3+ years in planning and strong spreadsheet/ERP skills, with a proactive, collaborative approach. Own transport is preferred due to the rural location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in planning, coordinating, scheduling, inventory management and production control.
• Proficient with Oracle or similar MRP-based planning system.
• Strong capability in modern planning concepts and practice.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with capacity constraints.
• Experience in a global organization headquartered in North America preferred.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills with strong analytical attention to detail.
• Ability to create interlinked spreadsheets.
• Flexible and proactive to meet customer requirements.
• Ability to establish working relationships with cross‑functional colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own all production scheduling across injection moulding, clean room processes, and instrument cell.
• Collaborate with demand planning to meet business priorities.
• Schedule maintenance tasks to keep equipment efficient within capacity.
• Schedule trials of new tools and refurbishments, including R&D.
• Provide lead time data and alert of delays to demand planning.
• Solve demand-related problems and optimize lead times.
• Coordinate with warehouse to ensure timely materials for production.
• Generate metrics for production performance.
• Support annual inventory audits with planning and execution.
• Handle ERP transaction support and create works orders for new products.
• Review holiday schedules to plan resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
