Job summary

Hydro Group is seeking a dedicated, office-based Procurement Specialist to provide efficient purchasing of goods, materials and services, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining supplier due diligence.

You will manage vendor relationships, expedite critical deliverables, and continually seek efficiency gains across the supply chain, supporting production and project requirements with professional procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of transport management systems and import/export regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement in logistics and procurement.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and kit as per engineering drawings.
• Provide Technical & Commercial support to Purchasing Coordinators.
• Expedite project-related and business-critical deliverables.
• Participate in supplier performance reviews and conduct regular vendor reviews.
• Research opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement processes.
• Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve cost savings.
• Manage supplier relationships with clear communication and professional standards.
• Balance tactical execution with strategic procurement initiatives.
• Source competitive bids and manage quotes for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain inventory levels to support production demands.
• Develop logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Track shipments and collate export documents for reference.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with health and safety standards.
• Provide KPI reports for procurement against OTIF/OTD, cost & quality.
