Job summary

Helsing is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to own procurement across development and customer projects, coordinating with engineering, supply chain, production, and external partners. You will lead sourcing strategies early in project phases, ensuring cost, quality and schedule targets are met, and manage supplier performance through prototyping to production ramp-up.

• Managed procurement activities within technically complex or project-driven environments.
• Able to read and interpret technical documentation to engage with engineering teams.
• Coordinated across cross-functional teams including engineering, production and procurement.
• Negotiated with suppliers and managed supplier relationships for technical components.
• Structured and methodical approach to prioritising, escalating trade-offs when needed.
• Clear written and spoken English communication across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead procurement activities across development and customer projects, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule targets are met across assigned workstreams.
• Engage early in project planning phases to contribute to sourcing strategies and align timelines with milestones.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend suppliers for technical components and systems with clear assessment criteria.
• Interface between engineering, procurement, suppliers, and production ensuring clear technical requirements are communicated.
• Support prototyping, industrialisation, and ramp-up phases, adapting procurement approaches across stages.
• Track supplier performance and flag deviations early for corrective action.
• Help build and maintain a qualified supplier base meeting Helsing's requirements.
