Job summary

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, seeks a Project Procurement Manager in Oxford to lead procurement across multi-discipline projects. You will mentor teams, manage budgets, drive KPI performance, and shape sourcing strategies with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of equipment, materials and services for complex projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ work experience in a similar role.
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
• ERP experience; SAP desirable.
• Ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
• Process and procedure driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of procurement personnel across disciplines and geographical areas.
• Apply financial management principles to procurement decisions and budgets.
• Lead vendor meetings and maintain supplier relationships.
• Implement a contract framework strategy with key supply chain members.
• Drive and exceed procurement KPIs.
• Oversee procurement to pay from sourcing to invoice clearance.
• Develop procurement strategy for core commodities.
• Identify new supplier sources and sourcing strategies in assigned area.
• Purchase equipment, materials and/or services for assigned projects.
• Secure quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services.
• Develop and manage a Procurement Schedule Report (PSR).
• Negotiate vendor alliances and master service agreements.
• Coordinate logistics of goods and services for projects.
• Control purchasing, storage and consumption of materials.
• Coordinate fleet, tool and plant requirements for projects.
• Develop and run RFP/RFQ packages.
• Consolidate information to develop effective procurement schedules.
