Job summary

83zero is partnering with a leading international technology and manufacturing business to recruit a Procurement Specialist in Chelmsford. The role sits in the growing procurement team and focuses on supporting new product development, supplier collaboration, and cost optimization to drive successful product launches.

You will manage RFQs, negotiations, and supplier performance, coordinate scheduling for launches, and maintain ERP data, reporting on KPIs and risk analyses to keep projects on

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or technical purchasing.
• Initial experience in international sourcing, supply chain management or product development.
• Knowledge of strategic purchasing and forward sourcing.
• Experience in project management, ideally within an agile environment.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFQs, supplier negotiations and supplier awarding.
• Support cost estimation, cost control and cost optimization.
• Implement global category strategies within product development.
• Involve suppliers early to identify innovation opportunities.
• Coordinate procurement scheduling and product launches.
• Prepare supplier risk analyses and procurement documentation.
• Maintain ERP master data and obtain material compliance certificates.
• Report on sourcing activities and project KPIs.
