Job summary

STRABAG in Manchester seeks an experienced procurement professional to deliver market‑competitive procurement solutions for our operating unit. You will support bid teams with supplier selection, drive procurement schedules, and collaborate with project teams to develop work packages and contract details.

You will structure and monitor the supply chain, perform performance reviews, and push continuous improvement across the region while ensuring robust negotiations and risk controls.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required.
• Experience running supply chain events.
• Experience with tendering processes (e.g., Compete For).
• Strong product and supplier knowledge.
• Solid working knowledge of contracts.
• Detailed understanding of construction processes from pre-construction to construction stages.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Provide market competitive procurement solutions delivering best value.
• Deliver professional procurement of materials and support Bid team supplier selection.
• Develop procurement schedules and work package documents with project teams.
• Structure supply chain and perform performance/relationship management.
• Drive continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency and cost.
• Align regional procurement goals with group strategies.
• Maintain supplier evaluation forms and risk assessments.
