Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. Based in the North West, you will own end-to-end procurement across multiple live schemes, coordinating with commercial, design and site teams to drive profitability and risk management.

The role is strategic and hands-on, requiring strong negotiation, commercial awareness and the ability to manage several procurement streams concurrently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Procurement Manager/Senior Buyer role in construction or main contractor environments.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills with commercial awareness.
• Experience managing procurement across multiple live projects and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement process across multiple live projects.
• Develop and maintain procurement schedules aligned with programme milestones.
• Source, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors and suppliers per company procedures.
• Prepare and issue tender packages with complete information.
• Analyse tender returns and provide commercial recommendations to teams.
• Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers for best value and contract compliance.
• Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors to align procurement with cost plans and budgets.
• Ensure subcontract orders are issued and returned promptly.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.
• Monitor market rates and supply chain performance for cost control and risk mitigation.
• Support project teams in resolving procurement-related issues and constraints.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives across projects.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting across all projects.
