Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead education refurbishments across the North West or West Midlands. You will own projects from tender through to completion, targeting educational buildings with careful planning around term dates, budgets and safety.

You will manage site teams, subcontractors and supply chains, ensuring commercial success and timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating and tendering for refurbishment and fit-out projects.
• Strong commercial knowledge: budgets, CVRs, variations, valuations and final accounts.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts and CDM regulations.
• Experience managing Site Managers, subcontractors and supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for education projects from tender to handover.
• Price projects ranging from small refurbishments to £2 million schemes.
• Procure subcontractors and materials; prepare programmes and coordinate site teams.
• Plan around school holidays; manage phased works during term time to avoid disruption.
• Maintain budgets, forecasts, variations, valuations and final accounts; uphold quality and safety.
