Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategies for major spend areas within the UK Direct Procurement team in London. You will report to the UK Senior Procurement Manager and drive value across projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Qualifications

• MCIPS or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
• Direct procurement experience in engineering or professional services is highly desirable.
• Substantial procurement experience with category management.
• Experience supporting bid submissions requiring subconsultant supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Direct Procurement team across the business and with external partners.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of procurement activity.
• Lead the design, development and delivery of category strategies.
• Develop and execute strategic category management plans aligned with objectives and governance.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to inform sourcing strategies.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure early procurement engagement.
• Promote safe, sustainable and responsible supply-chain practices.
• Provide forecasts of expected savings against budget.
• Apply supplier relationship management to drive performance and innovation.
• Report annualised savings with auditable benefits tracking.
• Lead contract and performance management of strategic suppliers.
• Define service requirements and establish meaningful KPIs with internal stakeholders.
