Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategies across major programmes in the aerospace and defence sector. You will partner with Programme, Engineering, Technology, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to drive strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and compliant, cost-effective supply solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Strategic Buyer or Senior Buyer within manufacturing, aerospace, defence or similarly complex environments.
• Experience developing and delivering procurement strategies across major programmes and bids.
• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills with high-value supplier agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with programme requirements.
• Lead procurement activities for major bids and programmes from proposal to in-service support.
• Analyse market conditions and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Support make-or-buy assessments, commercial evaluations, bid decisions, and engineering reviews.
• Lead tendering, supplier selection and negotiations delivering value and managing risk.
• Build relationships with key suppliers and monitor performance against measures.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, export control regulations and ethical sourcing.
