Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited seeks a Proactive Procurement Specialist to support the UK & Ireland 2028 project in Wembley, London. You will help plan sourcing, run tender processes, and negotiate agreements to maximise value for money across the event delivery.

Based onsite at Wembley with travel across the UK and Ireland, you will collaborate with teams, the legal function, and suppliers to ensure compliant, transparent procurement that supports a landmark international sporting event.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting and/or hands-on procurement and contract administration.
• Proven track record of assisting in the negotiation of deals for goods and services.
• Experience and ability to work with sustainable procurement practices.
• Collaborative, able to work with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• IT skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook; high numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Work with divisions to create sourcing plans and tender documents for best value.
• Assist in planning, sourcing, evaluation, selection and record management.
• Maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing activity, tender documents and post-tender reports.
• Analyse tender responses with cost comparisons and evaluate offers.
• Liaise with suppliers during the tender process to share information.
• Support negotiation and implementation of agreements with the legal team.
• Feed into the Contracts Register and track/archive tenders and contracts.
• Promote compliance with procurement policy.
