Job description

AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for a Strategic Procurement Advisor to support the Professional Services Category Management function within their central Global Corporate Procurement Team. You will be joining a high-performing team with an excellent reputation across indirect procurement markets. This role is a key development opportunity for the right individual, with support for CIPS qualifications. The Strategic Procurement Advisor will assist Senior Strategic Procurement Advisors/Category Managers and manage a small/medium portfolio of Professional Services contracts.

To succeed, you need to stay organized, prioritize projects, pay attention to detail, and take full ownership of tasks with autonomy. Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and procedures.

How will you contribute to the team:

1. Solicit competitive quotations, prices, or tenders from potential suppliers.
2. Receive and evaluate bids.
3. Prepare purchase recommendations.
4. Review contractual terms and consult with category Managers, procurement Managers, or Legal if needed.
5. Initiate, issue, and administer purchase orders and contracts following established procedures.
6. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
7. Understand, implement, and ensure compliance with AtkinsRéalis policies within the supplier base, and take corrective actions when necessary.
8. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet needs and explore mutual benefits and innovations.
9. Develop effective relationships with stakeholders to lay a foundation for future opportunities.
10. Travel within the UK and overseas may be required occasionally.

What will you contribute:

1. Some knowledge of standard procurement procedures and practices.
2. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multitask.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
5. Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), VMS systems (SAP Ariba), and ServiceNow is advantageous but not essential.
6. Understanding of contractual Terms and Conditions aligned with procurement policies.
