Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Portfolio Risk Management Advisor to shape risk delivery across the FCRM portfolio, programme and projects. You will lead on identifying and analysing portfolio risks, providing expert guidance to teams and enabling senior leaders to make informed decisions.

This role offers an opportunity to influence risk maturity, embed robust practices, and contribute to nationwide flood and coastal risk management delivery.

Qualifications

• P3-level risk management experience in portfolio, programme or project settings.
• Ability to think strategically and navigate complex or emerging risks.
• Clear communication of data, reports and insights to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and analysis of portfolio-level risks and emerging threats.
• Develop and embed portfolio, programme and project risk management approaches.
• Provide expert risk management guidance to programme and project teams.
• Support governance and assurance activities through robust risk analysis and reporting.
• Drive improvements in risk management tools, processes and ways of working.
• Build relationships across the FCRM portfolio to promote proactive risk culture.
