Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Director of Strategy & Planning to lead its multi-year planning process and ensure alignment with NHS England guidance. You will translate national planning requirements into local actions and present recommendations to the Board and senior teams.

You will oversee the strategy development, drive the long-term strategy refresh, and horizon-scan healthcare markets to bring best practice into care transformation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-year planning processes.
• Ability to translate national guidance into local plans.
• Proven ability to train senior managers in strategy and business cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Trust's annual and longer-term planning.
• Provide education to senior management on strategy and business cases.
• Horizon scan national/international healthcare markets for best practices.
• Review investment cases and ensure NHS and DH requirements are met.
• Support operational, corporate and finance colleagues with planning processes.
• Monitor progress against strategic milestones and report to Board.
