Job summary

HeatherDaniel International is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer / Project Scheduler for mission-critical infrastructure projects in Birmingham, UK. You will lead master schedules, perform CPM analysis, and coordinate with clients and contractors on multi-billion-pound programs.

The role requires 5+ years live construction planning using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject and a degree in QS/CM/CE or related field, with strong client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of live construction project planning experience using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
• Proven track record on major UK infrastructure, civil engineering, industrial, or MEP projects.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Superior client-facing presentation and communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, baseline, and maintain master schedules (P6 / Asta) for complex capital investments.
• Perform critical path analysis, earned value management (EVM), and schedule delay impact assessments.
• Collaborate directly with key client leads, general contractors, and trade specialists to guarantee milestone adherence.
• Produce essential schedule risk mitigation reports and progress metrics for executive stakeholders.
