SourceFlow is seeking a highly experienced Principal Planning Officer in the UK to lead major development projects within a hybrid working arrangement. You will guide strategy, manage complex cases, and advise senior stakeholders on planning matters.

The role requires strong negotiation, leadership, and collaboration with developers, councillors and external partners to deliver sustainable growth and infrastructure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading major residential developments of 1,000+ units.
• Proven ability to manage and determine major planning applications.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead a caseload of major and strategic planning applications and related appeals.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams on complex developments.
• Represent the Council in negotiations with developers, landowners and agents.
• Prepare and present reports to Planning Committee and senior management.
• Mentor and support junior planning officers as required.
