Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is seeking an experienced Planning & Control Manager for the Large Engines Test & CDC team. You will lead demand and capacity planning, drive WIP and inventory controls, and ensure on-time delivery to customers while maintaining robust launches and output plans.

Reporting to the VP of Planning and Control and the Manufacturing Manager, you will coach a small team, work across multi-functional groups, and partner with Airbus and Boeing through governance.

Qualifications

• Experience with planning and control methodologies across multi-year programmes.
• Strong leadership skills with evidence of improving team engagement.
• Proven track record delivering operational performance through planning.
• Experience delivering transformation and lean/process improvement initiatives.
• Breadth of experience across multi-functional teams in P&C roles.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Balance demand and capacity to ensure on-time delivery with optimal inventory.
• Lead launch/WIP control and govern gates, enablers and risks.
• Support S&OP planning across short, medium and long term horizons.
• Manage inventory planning and control to budget.
• Develop and coach the Planning & Control team for high performance.
• Collaborate with customer teams and governance with Airbus and Boeing.
