Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Senior People Change Partner to lead strategic workforce transformation across multiple programmes. You will advise directors and senior leaders on organisational development, employee relations and change management, ensuring sustainable service redesign and a positive staff experience.

The role focuses on workforce planning, governance, engagement, and ensuring inclusive, compassionate change across the Trust's footprint.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of planning and delivering the workforce aspects of business / service changes in a large complex organisation.
• Comprehensive experience of transformation programmes governance and approaches.
• Experience of developing and implementing workforce plans and strategies.
• Knowledge of OD and change management approaches and tools in a complex change programme environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic workforce and organisational development advice to Directors and senior leaders on transformation, service redesign and workforce change programmes.
• Lead the people aspects of complex organisational change, including restructures, consultation exercises, workforce redesign and implementation of new operating models.
• Develop workforce plans, organisation design solutions and people strategies that support sustainable, high-performing services.
• Build strong relationships with programme leads, operational managers, trade unions and staff representatives to facilitate successful change delivery.
• Lead on complex employee relations matters arising from transformation activity, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, NHS policy and best practice.
• Undertake change impact assessments, workforce risk analysis and consultation planning to support effective decision‑making.
• Use workforce data, people analytics and organisational insight to inform transformation plans and evaluate outcomes.
• Support leaders to create inclusive, compassionate and change‑capable cultures that promote staff wellbeing, engagement and retention.
• Ensure equality, diversity and inclusion are embedded throughout organisational change processes.
• Provide expert coaching, challenge and support to senior leaders to enable effective leadership of transformation programmes.
