Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a Payroll Lead to shape payroll across the organisation. You will lead the delivery of end-to-end payroll and pension services, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong controls. Based in Glasgow, Dundee or Aberdeen with hybrid working and travel between branches.

You will provide leadership to Payroll Business Partners, Specialists and Officers, driving improvements in systems, processes and data quality while advising on complex payroll matters.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end payroll and pension service in a large/complex organisation.
• Current knowledge of PAYE, RTI, NIC, statutory payments, pension admin and auto-enrolment.
• Degree-level qualification; CIPP/IPPM or equivalent in a senior payroll role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accurate, timely, compliant delivery of monthly payroll and pension services.
• Lead, develop and support the Payroll Team to foster a positive, customer-focused environment.
• Maintain payroll controls, reconciliations and audit trails; ensure statutory submissions are completed.
