Job summary

Environment Agency seeks a Partnerships Advisor to join Defra Group Fleet Services, delivering strategic engagement and partnership management across the Environment Agency and wider Defra Group. You will build strong relationships, shape engagement approaches and support fleet transformation and sustainability initiatives.

The role involves working with national teams, flexible working patterns, and travel to attend meetings.

Qualifications

Experience delivering planned communications, engagement or consultation activities.
Ability to lead engagement with diverse stakeholders and influence decisions.
Experience supporting complex change programmes through communications and engagement.
Ability to develop engagement plans and key messages aligned to priorities.
Strong writing and verbal communication for briefings, presentations and reports.

Responsibilities

Lead communications and engagement activities supporting DGFS priorities and objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across EA and Defra Group.
Develop stakeholder engagement plans including workshops, meetings and events.
Translate complex information into clear, accessible communications for stakeholders.
Provide engagement advice to project teams and service leads to support change.
Identify engagement risks and opportunities, escalating where needed.
Champion best practice to embed consistent approaches across DGFS.
