The Strategic Partnerships Manager will lead the partnership development strategy for the Continence Care business unit, including Amcare, focusing on Acute, Post-Acute, and Community channels to establish Convatec as a preferred supplier. This role involves aligning business strategies with the evolving HSE/NHS landscape and DHSC MedTech Strategy, and developing sustainable commercial partnerships with third parties and NHS entities, including NHSE ICBs, DHSC, Wholesalers, and DACS.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner with sales, marketing, and clinical teams to define and implement long-term market access solutions and development roadmaps to grow revenue and market share.
  2. Identify new market segments, channels, and opportunities; assess the competitive landscape; co-lead annual market development strategies with the UKI Continence Care Leadership Team.
  3. Build and manage strategic relationships with NHSSC, Wholesalers, and DACS to foster collaboration and growth.
  4. Develop and execute value-based partnership proposals to promote the adoption of Convatec and Amcare portfolios through third parties, ICBs, PCNs, and care channels.
  5. Collaborate across teams to identify partnership opportunities and create strategic plans to enhance Convatec’s market position in UKI Continence Care.
  6. Contribute to leadership team meetings with insights on external environment and strategic feedback.
  7. Work with Market Access teams to develop impactful projects and business cases, presenting to leadership as needed.
  8. Establish KPIs to measure contract impact, effectiveness, and ROI via regular reporting.
  9. Lead service redesign and pathway development initiatives, collaborating with regional managers and specialists.
  10. Engage with system stakeholders like NHS Supply Chain, Wholesalers, and DACS to increase market presence.
  11. Review patient pathways and standards of care to maximize market access, working with regional specialists.
  12. Develop relationships with ICB and ICS stakeholders and identify new development projects.
  13. Leverage provider and payer support to influence formularies and community projects.

Essential Skills/Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in science or related field.
  2. 5-8 years in MedTech or pharmaceuticals, preferably in Continence Care, with experience in business development, partnerships, or market access.
  3. 5+ years in market access, government affairs, or public policy, ideally within Continence Care.
  4. Deep understanding of NHS policies and experience working with NHS payers.
  5. Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and marketing knowledge.
  6. Proficient in financial modeling and ROI assessment.
  7. Experience in developing business cases and methodologies for ROI evaluation.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  9. Excellent negotiation and project management skills.
  10. Data analysis skills for business case development.
  11. Proven leadership in managing indirect teams amidst competing priorities.
  12. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  13. Comfortable working in a matrix environment.
  14. Self-aware, eager to learn, adaptable to coaching, and committed to personal growth.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  1. In-depth knowledge of the UKI Continence Care market and DAC landscape.
  2. Creative and innovative approaches to developing new processes.

Travel Requirements

  • UK & Ireland travel: 70%, with at least 3 days per week in the field.
