Job summary

Area Camden, part of the Polaris Community, seeks an experienced Operations Director & Responsible Individual to lead seven children’s homes and oversee two planned openings. The role reports to the Managing Director and combines strategic direction with hands-on governance to sustain outstanding care.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in residential care for children.
• Registration with Social Work England and/or SSSC.
• RI experience or ability to undertake RI duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Area Camden’s residential services.
• Undertake shared Responsible Individual duties with the Head of Care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and high Ofsted outcomes across all homes.
• Support Registered Managers to achieve excellence and drive improvement.
• Lead service development and growth while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with managers, authorities and regulators to safeguard children.
