Job summary

Shieldpay is seeking a senior regulatory compliance leader to bridge evolving FCA requirements with our growing payments platform. You will shape governance, risk, and operational resilience while ensuring positive outcomes for customers and the business.

In this autonomous, hybrid role you will translate complex risk data into governance reports for the Board, guide cross-functional teams, and lead training to embed best practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience turning risk data into governance reports for senior leadership.
• Deep knowledge of FCA operational resilience and non-financial risk frameworks in payments.
• Excellent communication to C-suite and Board members. Use concise, actionable language.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance risk and control framework, oversee RCSAs and monitoring.
• Lead regulatory and statutory compliance with FCA regulations and reporting.
• Support Operational Resilience strategy and execution to protect customers.
• Execute 2LOD compliance monitoring and thematic reviews for risk domains.
• Translate risk data into clear governance reports for management and Board.
• Advise product and engineering on regulatory requirements for new products.
• Lead regulatory compliance training to up-skill employees.
